Brisbane’s first Night Noodle Markets launches at South Bank

The South Bank Cultural Forecourt has transformed into an Asian-inspired hawker market, where foodies can gobble gyoza, okonomiyaki, ramen and more under the lanterns and lights of the Night Noodle Markets.

We’re now a few weeks into the Brisbane Times Good Food Month, and if bellies aren’t bulging and Instagram feeds aren’t expanding, then Brisbane’s first Night Noodle Markets should certainly take care of that. As part of Australia’s biggest food festival, the pop-up event will see Asian street-food delights offered alongside themed bars and live entertainment. Dine under bouquets of lanterns and revel in the buzzing atmosphere for 11 delicious nights throughout July.

Kicking off in the South Bank Cultural Forecourt tonight Thursday July 17 and running until Sunday July 27, the market will operate from 5:00–9:00 pm Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:00–10:00 pm Wednesdays, 5:00–11:00 pm Thursdays and Fridays, 4:00–10:00 pm Saturdays and 4:00–9:00 pm Sundays. Around 25 different stalls will proffer snacks from local favourites like Bird’s Nest Yakitori & BarFat NoodlePeng You China Kitchen & Bar, Harajuku Gyoza, Saigon Alley Cafe and Zagyoza, as well as sweets from Mini Pancakes and Serendipity Ice Cream & Sorbet. Entry is free but stalls are cash only. Find a map and extra information here.
