TWE Lychee Lounge, West End

Lychee Lounge chaperons locals through the working week

The good folk from West End stalwart Lychee Lounge understand the highs and lows of the working week all too well and are now consoling thirsty workers through the deep trough of Monday before celebrating with them as hope reappears on Wednesday.

The Moubment Group may have had its hands full welcoming stunning new venues like Gerard’s Bar and The Mero Kitchen & Bar into the world in recent months, but its older babies certainly haven’t been forgotten. West End’s Lychee Lounge has been sating thirsty locals with cracking cocktails for 15 years, while also lining liquid bellies with a fine menu selection.

The Boundary Street bar has now launched two very special offers to help its regulars through the busy working week. Monday evenings see consolation in edible form, with $5 share plates or a share plate and jam jar cocktail combo for just $10. The seasonal offerings move from marinated chicken breast skewers with spiced mint yoghurt and manchego croquettes with chipotle chutney to Southern-style spiced chicken wings and pulled pork sliders with Vietnamese coleslaw. When that ripple of optimism reappears on Wednesday, Lychee Lounge is right there with you, celebrating with two-for-one gourmet burgers. Take your pick from beef, coal-grilled chicken or falafel with all the delicious trimmings like vintage cheddar, chutney, pickles and rocket, and shoestring fries on the side. The second burger must be of equal or lesser value.
