Lunch Lady unveils publication of foodie inspiration

After earning legions of followers through her Lunch Lady blog, Kate Berry has taken the next step in the publications development by launching a quarterly magazine filled with wholesome recipes and engaging musings on food and family.

Since August 2013, Kate Berry has maintained Lunch Lady, a food and recipes blog that aimed to encourage parents to make healthy lunches for their children at school. As more and more cooks found themselves turning to Lunch Lady for inspiration, other parties took notice and reached out to Kate to see if she wanted to enter the world of print publishing. Louise Bannister and Lara Burke are the co-founders of frankie and We Print Nice Things, and together with Kate have created a simply adorable publication that adds colour and life to any coffee table.

The gorgeously colourful pages of theĀ Lunch Lady magazine are filled with recipes galore, as well as a bunch of engaging stories and opinion pieces, stylish photography features, art and cooking ideas for kids. The first issue of Lunch Lady features contributions from Yumi Stynes, Helen Razer, designer Beci Orpin, illustrator Ashley Goldberg and author Sarah Coates. Those keen to experience the Lunch Lady journey can order a subscription online and pre-order issue one before it hits shelves at Avid Reader, Mary Ryan’s New Farm, Folio Books and select newsagents on Monday November 16.
