There is no denying it now – we are right in the thick of the festive season. Whether you need sustenance after a marathon Christmas-shopping effort, or are looking for a place to celebrate away from the city crowds, our friends at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre have your silly season dining needs covered.

There is no need to turn up your nose at the idea of shopping centre dining anymore – long gone are the days of greasy cups of hot chips from the carvery. Serving up more than 50 dining options over three separate precincts, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is out to please hungry shoppers or those looking for a local bite to eat.

If you’re looking for a fresh snack to keep you going throughout your Christmas-shopping bonanza, head to the Gourmet Fresh precinct. Here you can stock up on a bounty of fresh produce and gourmet delicacies to impress guests at home, or please your grumbling tummy with a healthy snack. From a meaty tasting plate from Cabassi & Co Artisan Butchers’ kitchen, to an oozing cheese board from Oliver & Co Table + Deli or a parcel of deliciousness from Yum Cha Cuisine, you’re sure to find a fresh feast to satisfy your tastebuds. Lovers of the humble classic food court needn’t fear though – you can still get your fix of eat-in or takeaway options in the Dining Court. Whatever cuisine you crave, you have plenty to choose from, including Salsa’s, Hanaichi and Fantasia. And when sweet cravings strike, treat yourself with a chocolate hit from Queensland’s first Koko Black store, opening its doors at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre on Saturday December 13.

Station Road Dining precinct offers up an international culinary journey, from American-style eats through to traditional Japanese gyoza. After pleasing lunch and dinnertime diners with its trattoria-style dining setting, The Mero Kitchen & Bar has recently launched its brand-new breakfast menu for weekends. Start your morning on a high note with organic muesli with fresh berries, or indulge in a big breakfast with the works. If your tastebuds want you to take them to the Americas, head over to Nantucket Kitchen & Bar and nosh on Cape Cod-inspired cuisine from breakfast through to dinner. Next on the itinerary is Spain, with Olé Fuego serving up a range of tapas and share plates – paired perfectly with a refreshing jug of freshly made sangria.

To get a side of fun-filled entertainment with your meal, head to the interactive Harajuku Gyoza. Its Japanese-style dumplings and beer are accompanied by enthusiastic staff members, who will excitedly announce your arrival and applaud your choice of sake. Or, for traditional British pub fare, drop in to Pig ‘N’ Whistle and select from its range of tasty eats. To top it all of, finish with a sweet indulgence at Nitrogenie. The liquid nitrogen-based ice-cream comes in a variety of flavours, including lemon, lime and bitters, or Eumundi strawberry and basil.

And if you’re still deciding on where you should be ringing in the new year, Olé Fuego, The Mero and Nantucket each have celebrations planned for you to join in.
