Making tea on the go is sometimes more trouble than it’s worth. Thankfully there will soon be a device that allows you to brew on the go without relying on bulky thermoses and inadequate tea bags.

Any tea drinker will tell you that loose-leaf tea tastes better than tea bag varieties, but waiting for a pot to brew is a little bit more time consuming. Although they are easier to drink on the go, tea bags often contain smaller, low-grade teas such as dust and fannings. Western Washington University’s Industrial Design program has come up with an ingenious container that allows users to make great tasting loose-leaf tea without bringing the kettle with you.

Imbue is a vessel made from shatter-proof glass that works as an insulator, keeping any beverage inside hot while not burning your hands on the exterior. Your choice of loose-leaf tea is placed inside a stainless-steel filter that magnetically adheres to the leak-proof bamboo lid, allowing you to steep your tea in hot water on the move. The Kickstarter campaign for Imbue has already smashed its funding goal, but there is still time to make a donation and grab a reward.
