A new local go-to for all-day nibbles and Veneziano Coffee has opened in a prime position on a corner of New Farm Park. Stationed near the roundabout where Brunswick and Sydney Streets meet, HONOR offers tempting breakfast and lunch fodder seven days a week. Operated by two local sisters with a passion for fresh, seasonal cooking, the cafe prepares all dishes on site, with the exception of bread and pastries from nearby Chouquette and gluten-free goodness from I Heart Brownies.

Start your day with simple sourdough, fruit or mixed grain toast lathered with the house raspberry jam, homemade banana bread with whipped coconut and orange butter, or the house fruit and nut granola with organic vanilla bean yoghurt and seasonal fruit. If your belly is after heartier fare, load up on the HONOR breakfast board of European sausage, bacon and egg with truss tomatoes, basil, smashed avocado, fetta, smoked salmon and assorted breads, or the popular Brat’n’a Bun which sees bratwurst wedged inside a sourdough baguette with mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut and the special house sauce. Fresh salads and sandwiches line the cabinet, or opt for more creative dishes like the savoury bread and butter pudding with crispy bacon and asparagus.
