Green Bees Organics buzzes in to West End

A new organic fast-food cafe has sprouted on Vulture Street, bring gluten-, dairy- and sugar-free nosh to West End.

From the green energy-powered fit-out to the biodegradable packaging and the organic nosh on the plates, Green Bees Organics has brought a sustainable mindset to every facet of its new fast-food venture on Vulture Street. Open from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday through to Saturday, the health-focused cafe is keeping locals nourished right through the day, with a focus on gluten-, dairy- and cane sugar-free fare and plenty of vegan, paleo and raw food options. The venue is the result of a long battle with health issues for owner Maria Faalafi. After years of doctors’ visits and tests, Maria turned her life around when she changed her diet and was inspired to launch commercial kitchen The Greenhive and share her healthy creations at markets around Brisbane. Now, Maria and Luke have taken the next step with the launch of Green Bees Organics cafe and restaurant.

Swing by for a cold-pressed juice, organic iced tea or a fairtrade coffee in the morning, a dairy- and gluten-free open pie for lunch or a guilt-free treat when the cravings kick in. Using free-range, grass-fed and hormone-free meats from the local organic butcher as well as fresh organic produce, the cafe’s allergen-friendly nosh navigates gourmet salads, hot meals like raw zucchini pasta, sides such as sweet potato fries and desserts like mini cashew cream cakes, caramel-filled coconut cookies and real fruit sorbets. Take your munchies away or grab one of the stools crafted from fallen trees to eat inside the cafe. Any leftover food from Green Bees is donated to food-rescue charity OzHarvest to help feed those in need around Brisbane.
