Grape Therapy prescribes vino to Valley patrons

A new hideaway has emerged, sheltering visitors from the hustle and bustle of Fortitude Valley. Grape Therapy is the perfect spot to try some new drops and learn a little bit about Australian wine.

Darren Davis has expanded his wine empire by adding another jewel to his crown. After opening Grape Therapy in the Brisbane CBD in 2014, he has opened another vino-centric venue in Fortitude Valley. Tucked away in the space formerly occupied by InCider Trading, Grape Therapy doubles as a learning destination and a party spot, thanks to shelves upon shelves of wine and knowledgeable staff giving recommendations. The space has been updated to take advantage of the exposed brick, polished concrete and stained wood furnishings. A back room cellar is now a dining area, perfect for functions and space has been set aside for live music on weekends.

Grape Therapy stocks well over 250 wine variants, with a range of wines from small producers and back vintage stock dating back to the 70s. New stock arrives on a monthly basis, while rare stock such as vintage sparkling reds, sticky wines and barrel-aged port are available for connoisseurs. Stock can be purchased retail, online or consumed on-site for an extra $20 corkage, while mixed boards of cheeses and cold meats from Black Pearl Epicure are available for nibbling on the side. Grape Therapy is the perfect spot to escape the busy inner-city rabble, with friendly staff on hand to answer every question can cater to every whim. The venue can be hired for functions and will also be hosting specialty nights in the future.
