Whether you’re familiar with traditional New Zealand fare or not, your tastebuds are sure to be impressed by what Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen plates up.

Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen, also known as GKK, offers an impressive selection of good-old-fashioned homemade New Zealand cakes, slices and biscuits. Market breakfasts are a feast, with options including boil up (a broth-style soup), paua puffs (golden puffs of fried bread with golden syrup), whitebait fritters, battered mussels, fish sandwiches and Kiwi-style bacon-and-egg big breakfasts. Everything is made in GKK’s own kitchen, so you’ll get a ‘taste of home’ with every bite. A little secret – bring your own plastic container to take away and you can pretend you made it yourself!

GKK is a committed stallholder at the Saturday Kuraby Markets and the Sunday Logan Central Markets, and is also appearing at the Eats & Beats pop-up series at the Ikea Logan Forecourt. Starting as a weekend market stall, Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen is also now a permanent fixture on Brisbane’s southside. For a mid-week Kiwi fix head to the cafe and gallery, showcasing an impressive range of New Zealand artwork, carvings, sculptures and Kiwiana.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
