Let the waistband loose for Good Food Month

Gather your finest dining companions and prep the appetites for the world’s largest food festival, which kicks off in Brisbane today, Thursday July 9.

Rumbling bellies, unite. It’s time once again for the world’s largest food festival to start making its way around the country – and fortunately for us, Brisbane is the first city off the rank. Brisbane Times Good Food Month will be flinging itself onto our forks from today, Thursday July 9 until Sunday August 9, bringing a smorgasbord of great breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and drink offers and events. Admire the creations of some of the state’s most promising young chefs, take a masterclass or workshop, join a pop-up party, appreciate our regional treasures, indulge on a rooftop or experience a coveted Hats Off Dinner.

Following on from the overwhelming success of the Night Noodle Markets last year, the street-food phenomenon is set to return to South Bank from Wednesday July 22 to Sunday August 2. Enter the Cultural Forecourt from 5:00 pm to late Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm to late Friday and 2:00 pm to late on weekends, and immerse yourself in an outdoor hawker-style market with more than 30 different Asian food stalls, themed bars and live music. Entry is free and all stalls are cashless, meaning punters can pay by credit or debit card.
