Sample the flavours of spring at Gerard’s Bistro

Spring has sprung and James Street stalwart Gerard’s Bistro has dreamed up a fresh batch of new dishes.

Culinary icon Gerard’s Bistro is plating up a cracker of a menu this spring, with fresh new offerings boasting seasonal ingredients and intriguing textures. With the warmer weather luring us out of bed at an earlier hour, Gerard’s is on hand to fuel bellies for the day ahead with a range of tempting breakfast dishes. Start your day with a spoon into a rosewater rice pudding with fresh berries, plum and pistachio, and cool down on sticky mornings with a Middle Eastern frozen limonana of fresh lemon juice, mint, sugar, orange blossom water and ice.

Keep your eyes peeled and bellies poised for other new additions due to hit the menu soon, such as swordfish belly and green almond in buttermilk, elderflower and argan oil; coal-grilled heirloom green onions with warm yoghurt; new season suckling lamb with farro cous cous, spring herbs, flowers and sheep’s milk labne; and slow-cooked duck eggs with pearl barley, baby peas and silken leeks in smoked cod broth.
