Foodies flock together at Felton Food Festival

Take a leisurely drive on Sunday April 27 to where rolling meadows, epicurean indulgences and local farmers’ freshest produce abound.

From 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, the 2014 Felton Food Festival will see farmers, chefs, foodies and famished folk come together for a celebration of delectable foodstuffs. Daytrip from Brisbane or hop on a shuttle from Toowoomba to see the town’s streets lined with food stalls, marquees and demonstration stations.

Visitors can sample the wares of meat and dairy suppliers, fresh produce providers, home kitchens and pasta makers, alongside the treats created at the festival’s micro-bakery. Much-loved gardener (and facial-hair farmer) Costa Georgiadis will be teaching would-be green thumbs about no-dig gardening, composting and other food-growing topics.

While chef Alastair McCleod will be transforming local produce into delicious feasts, and The Barefoot Orchestra will provide the day’s musical entertainment. Children will be kept busy in the Big Red Tent, where painting, planting and cupcake-decorating activities will be set up.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
