The revamped Crosstown Public House opens in Woolloongabba

A popular haunt on Logan Road has undergone some changes and reopened with a new menu and a new vibe. Crosstown Public House is now open to keep ‘Gabba locals fed and watered.

If you’ve been forlorn wondering what happened to Crosstown Eating House on Logan Road, you might want to pay attention. Cam O’Brien, co-owner of 1889 Enoteca and owner of Sorellina Pizzeria has taken over the premises and reopened it as Crosstown Public House. Cam has tinkered with Crosstown’s concept, aligning its style closely with that of a traditional Australian pub, creating a welcoming mid-level dining option on the bustling Logan Road cul-de-sac. Revitalising the concept of a local pub, Crosstown Public House boasts the same casual atmosphere of previous incarnations with subtle touches of Australiana. New pictures have been hung on the walls, and the bar, floors and walls have been touched up to give the venue a fresh vibe.

The new menu features pub fare done well with bar bites, sides and sweets fleshing out the offering. Sit down and snack on barbecue pork ribs, chicken wings or a cheeseburger, or come hungry for classic dishes such as chicken parmigiana, pork schnitzel, rump steak or spaghetti and meatballs at a fair price. The bar has been fitted out with six beer taps pouring craft brews from 4 Pines, Holgate and Young Henry’s as well as a one cider. The original beer tap has been converted to pour cocktail mixtures, while the shelves are stocked with an ample selection of wine and spirits.
