Elegant breakfast parties nursing sore heads the morning after the night before are not only welcome but well catered for at The Crosstown Eating House’s new breakfast sitting.

Blood Marys, Espresso Martinis and Champagne and Orange are available from 10:00 am, with recovery meals of gourmet cheeseburgers and the bacon and egg roll with fries and aioli ($13.50) sure to satisfy.

Regular evening eaters will notice the famous sticky spare ribs ($23.50) making an appearance amongst the morning meals, with the fish taco (pan-fried whiting, blackbean and tomato salsa, avocado and sour cream, $16.50) riding Brisbane’s Mexican food wave.

French toast with honeyed ricotta and cinnamon poached cherries will indulge those with a sweet tooth, with the double smoked bacon, maple syrup and cream version (both 14.50) humouring the indecisive diner.

The Crosstown Eating House chaps have even let down their espresso-only guard and decided to give milk a whirl in their coffees. Open for eggs Wednesday-Sunday from 7:00 am, this highly anticipated menu is an exciting addition to the repertoire of this relaxed, yet carefully curated restaurant.
