CJ's Pasta, West End

CJ’s Pasta makes its move to West End

From a warm bowl of cloud-like gnocchi to a richly layered lasagne, pasta is not just a favourite of Italy but is also a food that has been whole-heartedly embraced by hordes around the world. If you are an admirer of these carb creations, you’re probably already well aware of Brisbane’s own connoisseur CJ’s Pasta, which has just set up shop at a new location in West End.

The beloved neighbours of the James Street Precinct may now sit over the river, but they are still creating all of the pasta and pasta-esque dishes for which they are known. Now sitting on Horan Street, just off Vulture, creators Christian and David have built a new and bigger CJ’s Pasta for their fare.

As well as providing delicious warm meals for winter, CJ’s now also has an espresso bar for caffeine cravings, where Merlo coffee is being brewed fresh and sold along with an assortment of fresh pastries baked in house by a former chef of the Hilton. The bigger crib gives the store more opportunity to showcase a number of new menu options in addition to the ever-popular packaged meals. Here you can still continue to buy fresh delicious homemade pastas to use at home, including ravioli and egg flat pastas, spicy curries and little gourmet extras like tasty sausage rolls.
