Serious coffee drinkers throughout Brisbane may already be familiar with Wolff Coffee Roasters, but for the uninitiated you should know that Wolff is one of the biggest names in java around these parts. Owned and operated by Peter and Penny Wolff, the business has expanded steadily in recent years – honing its innovative roasting practices, which to bring out the character in its coffee. Peter and Penny have doubled the size of their premises to include the warehouse next to their roastery – adding a coffee college, a production kitchen for Queen of Pops and a new espresso bar cleverly titled Big Bad Wolff. The space has been refurbished to include rustic seating in front of the espresso bar, which is backed by an eye-catching Little Red Riding Hood mural from Graham Franciose.

Big Bad Wolff Espresso Bar pours a range of Wolff coffee, including a near daily rotating selection of blends, single origin and decaf beans. A selection of sweet treats from local bakeries and goodies from Queen of Pops are also available for a snack, while Wolff’s nitrogen-charged cold-brew coffee is also available, as is a range of tea. The expanded space now boasts a coffee college, which offers a range of workshops and courses such as cupping sessions, barista training, latte art and roasting classes.
