Stop at James Street for something sweet from Bakehouse by Gramercy

One of Brisbane’s best coffee spots is expanding its repertoire with a pop-up bakery on James Street, offering a range of gourmet goodies.

Brisbane City coffee hideaway Gramercy has steadily built a reputation as not only a supreme supplier of coffee, but also as a budding baked goods dispensary. In 2015 Gramercy’s doughnut pop-up saw 500 treats fly out the door in 20 minutes. Seeing a demand for its brand of pastries and sweets, the team at Gramercy decided to follow the natural progression and try offering a greater range of goods. Bakehouse by Gramercy is a pop-up store selling a range of goods to shoppers and locals on James Street, open from Saturday February 20 to Saturday April 30, Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 am until sold out.

The team has secured a kitchen space at Wandering Cooks, complete with a large pastry oven that will pump out fresh goods daily. Doughnuts, danishes, cakes, tarts, jams and preserves will be available, as well as delicious croissants. Flavours will change daily, so check in often. Bakehouse will also be debuting a range of bottled iced-coffees before offering them at Gramercy in a few weeks time, with an espresso base for milk and almond milk varieties and filter base for black coffee drinkers. You can buy a selection of Bakehouse by Gramercy treats to take away and share or hoard for yourself – there will be no judgement from us either way.
