In this short food film, The Perennial Plate compares the stories behind two rooftop farms in Beijing and Hong Kong. One farmer moved to a rooftop because of the cheaper rent, while the other had never grown anything before but wanted to try – failing miserably the first year and inventing his own fertiliser the second year, allowing his rooftop garden to flourish.
