An interactive public exhibit that brings to life the journey of people from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds. The Village will showcase the cultural diversity of Brisbane and honour the courage, strength and determination of the women, men and children who have made this city their new home.

Witness how ordinary people have found themselves in extraordinary situations and persevered to tell their life-changing stories. Engage with these stories firsthand through interactive tours, displays and performances.

Create welcome this World Refugee Week, Tuesday June 14 to  Saturday June 18.

The Village: Refuge Camp will be exhibited from Tuesday June 14 to Saturday June 18 at La Boite. Tues & Wed 10:00 am – 01:00 pm, Thu & Fri 10:00 am – 06:00 pm and Sun 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
