If you’ve trawled through Toowong Village of late, you’ll no doubt have noticed it has undergone a rather significant makeover. To celebrate the refurbishments and additions, the centre will be hosting the Village Festival this month, with plenty of food, fashion and special offers for three days from Thursday July 30 to Saturday August 1. A dedicated Kids Zone will offer canvas painting workshops, face painting and cartoon photobooths with their Dreamworks characters on level 1 near Toowong Library, while shoppers can take advantage of exclusive offers, in-store events and free gifts with purchases. Foodies can sample some of the nosh on offer in the centre at the tasting bar, watch a cooking demonstration or attend a champagne masterclass hosted by The Champagne Dame. The festival will also feature a special Moët VIP fashion event and DJ entertainment between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm Thursday to Saturday. Diners can also enjoy free live music on select Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Friday July 17 and Sunday August 16 at the new alfresco dining precinct, High St Eat. Find more information and session times on the Toowong Village website.
