Undressed: 350 Years of Underwear in Fashion

Undressed: 350 Years of Underwear in Fashion

From Queen Victoria’s drawers to the oldest known bra in any museum collection, this fascinating new exhibition is sure to get a few knickers in a twist. Eighty highlights from one of the world’s most important collections of historical and fashionable dress, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), will be unveiled in front of a Brisbane audience, some being displayed in public for the very first time. These rare undergarments will showcase the evolution of our changing perceptions of fashion, from the iron corsets of the 1600s right up to the elite designer underwear worn as outerwear in the 21st century. Queensland Museum will also host two Behind the Scenes Tours and Undressed After Dark.
