Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss, was the author of close to 45 children’s books throughout his career, in addition to countless political cartoons, advertisements and humorous editorials. Although his illustration style is widely recognised, Dr. Seuss was also a visual artists that painted and sculpted a collection of ‘secret art’. Mitchell Fine Art will be showcasing a selection of Dr. Seuss’s secret work in an exhibition that looks at 70 years of the artists work. Rare, limited editions of his illustrations and bronze sculptures will be on display until December 24.
