‘State of Flux’ by Lisa Pullen

ArtWorld Studio Gallery presents a solo four-week exhibition of drawings, watercolours, paintings, and linocut prints created by renowned artist Lisa Pullen: State of Flux.

There is a clear psychological element in all of Lisa’s artwork. Relationships between: mother and daughter, friends, women, birds, and a child and stranger play out on paper and canvas. These are symbolic of her own memories and subsequent impressions. Another prevalent theme stems from Lisa’s memories of the St Kilda beach in the 1960s: the culture and mood of such a place and its people during the summer in Melbourne. The visual perspective of this exhibition entwines both European and Australian value systems and codes.

‘State of Flux’ will hold its opening night at ArtWorld Studio Gallery on Saturday April 9 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The evening is free to attend, and all works will be available for sale. This exhibition will remain open during the Gallery’s opening hours from 4 April to 6 May 2016. Please visit http://www.artworld-studio.com for more information.
