Pricewar Music presents Triumph

Pricewar Music and The Triffid present Triumph, a night of progressive, heavy music, featuring hazards of swimming naked, King Mungi, Balloons Kill Babies, Mass Sky Raid and Siren Lines. Doors open at 7pm and bands kick off straight away!

hazards of swimming naked are a Brisbane-based 5-piece instrumental band originating from Queensland’s tropical far north. The humidity and vibrancy of that region permeates their music and culminates in a sound which shares all the cinematic grandeur of artists such as Mogwai, godspeed you black emperor and Mono.

The 2009 debut album, Our Lines Are Down, racked up critical praise, and subsequent touring saw the group develop a significant following within the Australian post-rock scene. Following support slots for Pelican (USA) 65daysofstatic (UK), Brant Bjork and Low Desert Punks (USA), sleepmakeswaves (AUS) and tours with Keretta (NZ), Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving (AUS) and Dead Letter Circus (AUS), Hazards joined The Birds Robe Collective artist roster in late 2014 and announced their second album due for release in 2015.

King Mungi bring to the stage and stereo a wild ride of metal like no other band. They have returned to build upon the reputation they earned as one of the more ferocious live bands in this country. This reputation has lead them to great support spots for touring artists such as HED (PE) (USA), Devin Townsend, Test Eagles and Rollerball. King Mungi is a powerhouse band, and Ben’s vocals have been compared to the likes of Mike Patton with the attack of Henry Rollins—which is something any lover of the finer art of metal cannot miss.
