Nooko & Co is a new Brisbane based design studio with a focus on well designed and consciously made furniture and lighting. The studio’s partners, Rhys Thomas and Kristie Lahey, come from diverse backgrounds spanning mechanical design, marketing and the creative industries. Their shared interest however, lies in how multiple manufacturing processes and different materials can be balanced in composition and paired together to create products that achieve both functionality and a minimalist design aesthetic. With a strong belief in supporting local craft production, Nooko & Co utilise local independent makers that share their passion for well-crafted furniture with an obsessive attention to detail. This Ivory St. exhibition will showcase a selection of furniture and lighting from the Nooko & Co range.
