Frolik ‘Wallflower' Single Launch with Quintessential Doll + Nathan Morrison

Frolik ‘Wallflower’ Single Launch with Quintessential Doll + Nathan Morrison

Celebrate with synthpop trio Frolik in the launch their new single, “Wallflower” at the Milk Factory on Friday August 28. Joined by two of Brisbane’s brightest electronica acts – Quintessential Doll and Nathan Morrison, the event is set to kickstart you with all the right weekend party vibes.

Wallflower is the follow-up to their debut single ‘Let Me In’, which shows a different side to the band through beautiful harmonies and delicate keys that promise to pull heartstrings. The single was recorded with Nathan Morrison who has previously produced for Triple J Unearthed Awards winner Robbie Miller. 2015 will see Frolik continue to make waves with their live performances leading up to the recording of their debut EP.

Quintessential Doll will join Frolik in performing her darkly whimsical electronica sounds. 2015 has been a big year for this artist, with Queensland Music Award under her belt for her single ‘Live Like I’m Dying’. She has since released two more singles and her sound has been described as “a combination of Bjork and Laurie Anderson with a slightly Australian twist to the vocals” (The AU Review).

Local wunderkind Nathan Morrison will open the show with his unique brand of uplifting and euphoric pop. Nathan has stepped out on his own after previously producing for Triple J Unearthed National Indigenous Music Awards winner Robbie Miller and being one half of electropop duo ‘Laurasia’. He released his debut single “Oceans” which was quickly chosen by Triple J’s Dom Alessio to be one of his “Best Aussie Songs of the Week”.

Head to The Milk Factory website for further details.
