First Dog On The Moon

The earth is dying and it’s all our fault. Death, destruction, bees! What a greedy pack of nongs humans are.

Do not be alarmed! (Be alarmed). Internationally renowned Walkley Award-winning cartoonist First Dog on the Moon is here to help, taking time out from the busy schedule of being a National Treasure to graciously instruct a grateful nation in how not to be quite so terrible and perhaps even help out around the place.

If we all have to die horribly at least we should have funny pictures to look at. The Guardian’s much-loved First Dog on the Moon shows you how you too can be a national treasure and save the earth. Or at least not be completely racked by guilt all the time dear lord everything is so awful…ooh look a bunny!

Join us for an evening with Australia’s handsomest, humblest, marsupial based cartoonist, alongside with Dennis Atkin who will facilitate the Q&A with First Dog.

Dennis Atkins has worked in and covered politics across Australia for more than 30 years, including about 15 years in Canberra. He is currently The Courier-Mail’s national affairs editor based in Brisbane, writing editorials, analysis and features as well as a regular political column, Party Games.
