The Hold Artspace will be showcasing Extended Jewellery from Junary 28 to February 7.

Extended Jewellery will highlight the diverse practices of ten contemporary Brisbane jewellery and small objects practitioners. Developed through extensive periods of post-graduate study, including double degrees, Honours, Masters and pending Doctorates, each artist will present their refined perspective on the dynamics of thinking through jewellery. Extended Jewellery will showcase new works by Beau Allen, Pippin Blackwell, Renata Fojtikova, Alicia Lane, Andy Lowrie, Bianca Mavrick, Shanna Muston, Clare Poppi, Alison Stone, and Katie Stormonth.

Join us for an artist talk with Beau Allen, Pippin Blackwell, Renata Fojtikova, Alicia Lane, Bianca Mavrick and Claire Poppi on Thursday January 29. Prior to this event, you are invited to engage with Pippin Blackwell’s interactive Object Swap! Please bring along an object of your own, that can be either worn or carried on your person, which you would be willing to exchange in this fun social experiment. The Object Swap is a part of Pippin Blackwell’s studio research into the role of the worn object within contemporary jewellery art. Object swaps are invited on both the closing night and artist talk events.
