Death Valley Fun Camp

Death Valley Fun Camp

From your mates at Death Valley comes a festival like no other. The Death Valley Fun Camp is a 24-hour escape from the city, where you can hang with like-minded people while stuffing your face full of smoked meat around a campfire, singing ‘Hey Ya!’. Located only 1.5 hours from Brisbane on picturesque Lake Moogerah, DVFC is a grown-ups’ school camp. It’s still suitable for kids, but with plenty of craft beer poured into your reusable tumbler from actual beer taps, by an actual bartender. Better still, all your camp chow is being painstakingly planned out by celebrated chefs, not teachers.

Just like in all your Wet Hot American Summer fantasies, you’ll take part in workshops and classic camp activities from flag making with ‘Fancy Free’ duo Rachel Burke (Frankie Magazine stylist and i make. you wear it. designer) and Patience Hodgson (The Grates), to kayaking and a mud course for the adventurous. Pitch in and help cook a convivial dinner with Southside Tea Room and Lucky Egg; dance the night away to a covers set from Brisbane garage-rock alumni, Top Shelf Wedding Band; and sing your heart out with some live karaoke.

The best part is you won’t need to frantically pack the car the morning of because we’ve got you covered for meals, drinks, shelter and all the aforementioned fun stuff, PLUS a welcome pack including a one-off Fun Camp t-shirt. We’ve partnered with Young Henrys Brewery and for $79 you can purchase a reusable beer mug that is good for use during the whole camp. With fresh kegs of Young Henrys’ specialty brews being tapped during the camp, you’ll never go thirsty and you’re sure to learn a thing or two from the Young Henrys in the process. Wait there’s more – all profits from camp Food & Beverage go to Kids Helpline.
