Caxton Street Festival

Caxton Street Festival is pumped to be back for 2016, taking place on the Queen’s birthday long weekend on Sunday October 2. With thousands of revellers gathering in the street each year, Caxton Street Festival has built a reputation as being Queensland’s most iconic (and most fun) street party.

Having evolved into so much more than seafood and wine over the last few years, the 2016 program has something for everyone, with an awesome line up of acts, a huge selection of tasty street eats, as well as a great range of local wines, craft beers and cocktails on offer. The musical line up on the day is totally primo, featuring such names as Last Dinosaurs, Urthboy, Stonefield, Cub Sport, Elizabeth Rose, The Creases and more.

The food program is excellent as always, boasting a hefty mix of styles and genres to please even the most discerning palate. Seafood is a must, with mainstay Gambaro holding it down with the launch of their new spring menu – think mud-crab, green lobster, Moreton Bay bugs and Tasmanian oysters. The Caxton Hotel is getting fishy too, with hot and cold seafood platters as well as succulent steaks. Caxton Street Thai brings the flavour with Asian seafood vibes, and street food lovers will be in heaven with the likes of Hotel LA, Fritzenburger and Statler & Waldorf dishing out hands-on snackage.

The Caxton Street Festival is a fully licensed 18 plus event. Head to the Caxton Street Festival website for further event and ticketing details.
