The Lemonheads performs at The Zoo with local favourites

US indie rock icons The Lemonheads are returning to Australia to entertain fans old and new with a swag of new songs and much-loved classics.

Evan Dando and his band The Lemonheads have been performing since 1986. Their 1992 major label debut, It’s a Shame about Ray, was a massive hit thanks to songs such as a cover of ‘Mrs. Robinson’, and the album’s titular song. The band released two more albums before going on hiatus in 1996, emerging once again in 2006 with new material.

The band is coming to Australia to tour new music ahead of a forthcoming release. Armed with a bevy of old favourites in addition to the new compositions, The Lemonheads will be playing a show at similarly iconic Brisbane venue The Zoo, accompanied by Sydney group Spookyland and Brisbane indie-rock darlings Babaganouj. This will be a night of confident and timeless rock and roll – one not to be missed.
