The Laneway Weekender’s free family-friendly pop-up festival arrives at North Lakes
Westfield North Lakes is pulling out all the stops for its brand new foodie event, which offers plenty of tasty bites, pop-up bars, live music and kids entertainment.
Term two wraps up for many schools on June 24, which means many parents might be scrambling to arrange holiday activities to prevent the kids from going mad out of boredom. If this sounds like you, don’t panic – across June 24–26, West Field North Lakes’ will be putting its new precinct The Laneway to the test when it invites all of Brisbane to eat, drink and boogie for The Laneway Weekender. This weekend-long extravaganza will be offering a range of specials from eateries such as Grill’d, Schnitz, Guzman Y Gomez, San Churro and North Lake’s Tavern, as the open-air space comes to life with a festival atmosphere.
In addition to the good eatin’ available all weekend, several pop-up bars will be operating to help parents unwind with cold craft beer, wine and cocktails. Musical entertainment will be provided by the likes of CKNU, Mark Lowndes, Zoe Everest, the Ravi Welsh Trio plus more to be announced, as well as plenty of fun games to keep the kids occupied. Each day will extend festivities into the evening, so wrangle up the kids or a group of friends and come hungry – there will be plenty to take advantage of.
