Celebrate the start of the festive season at the South Bank Christmas Market
We are less than a month away from Christmas, and while Santa does the final revisions of his naughty and nice list, Brisbane locals can get a start on their present shopping at South Bank.
From December 11–23, the Stanley Street Plaza will come alive with activity as the annual South Bank Christmas Market kicks the festive season into gear. Twinkling lights and Christmas decorations will adorn the plaza and the assembled stores, creating a wonderland from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. Meander down Gifting Lane and start purchasing your Christmas presents, then support the market’s charity partners by having your purchases gift-wrapped onsite for a gold coin donation.
Delicious food will be on offer from a range of vendors, with exclusive Christmas-themed fare available from the Christmas Pantry. In 2015, the South Bank Christmas Market will expand onto the Little Stanley Street Lawns to provide more room for vendors and stalls. Over the market period, live carol singers, children’s entertainers and musicians will add to the atmosphere and make the markets come alive with song. If you are eager to get into the Christmas spirit, be sure to explore all that’s on offer at South Bank.
Also take note, on Thursday December 17 and Monday December 21 the markets will open until 9:00 am for an extra hour of last minute gift grabbing.
