Support local acts at the Queensland Music Awards

The 2015 Queensland Music Awards is the result of an extensive search across the state to find our most talented musicians and songwriters. Find out who’ll take out the top prizes at the Brisbane Powerhouse next Monday March 30.

Hundreds of hopeful artists across the state have submitted their entries, the finalists have been decided and when next Monday rolls around, the winners of the 2015 Queensland Music Awards will be revealed. More than 40 judges have cast their votes for music created in all corners of Queensland, from Cairns to Ipswich to Gayndah, spanning genres like pop, country, electronic and rock.

The awards evening will see winners announced across 21 categories including Schools (Grades 6–12), Indigenous and the BOQ’s People’s Choice Awards, as well as the prestigious Billy Thorpe Scholarship. Hosted by Triple J’s Sarah Howells and hip-hop legend Fred Leone (Rival MC), and featuring performances by Katie Noonan, Blank Realm, Halfway, Airling, Yarwah, MKO, Sahara Beck and We All Want To, the event is sure to be a festive celebration of homegrown music. Doors to the Brisbane Powerhouse open at 6:00 pm. Check out the finalists, find more information and buy tickets online.
