With a program full to the brim of wonderful performers, the Queensland Cabaret Festival returns to Brisbane with one of it’s most dynamic line-ups yet.

Since 2000, the Queensland Cabaret Festival has been the go-to event for fans of the performance art form to see the latest and greatest shows from local and international performers. 2016 is set to up the scintillating factor tenfold, which several big name stars heading Down Under to perform from June 2–12. Headlining proceedings this year is starlet Molly Ringwald, who will be performing songs from the Great American Songbook at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Friday June 3, Broadway sensation Megan Hilty performing in concert at QPAC on Thursday June 9, and Harry Shearer and Judith Owen will be treating audiences to their hit show This Infernal Racket on Saturday June 12.

The program boasts a huge amount of Australian talent on the bill, with some of the scene’s best up and comers and established veterans unveiling new shows. Queenie van de Zandt steps into the shoes of her iconic self-help, ‘musical therapist’ character Jan van de Stool for I Get the Music in You, while several of Brisbane’s best and brightest including Alison St Ledger, Marie DeVita (WAAX), Tim Steward (Screamfeeder), Brett Harris (The Good Ship) and more will be performing The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust in its entirety, building upon its acclaimed reception at the 2016 MELT Queer Arts Festival. Head to the Queensland Cabaret Festival website for a closer look at the program and ticketing information.
