Aspiring musicians to glean some industry tips at Little BIGSOUND

Before the southern hemisphere’s biggest music conference hits Brisbane in September, Little BIGSOUND aims to help young people break into the music industry.

While there are ample opportunities for musicians to have their music heard, the music industry is known to be a cutthroat business. It can be hard to navigate the pitfalls and dangers along the path to becoming a professional musician, thankfully there is an event where young musicians can learn about industry workings, discover new tips and techniques for recording and make connections with experts and mentors. Little BIGSOUND will be taking place on Monday July 27 at the Judith Wright Centre in Fortitude Valley.

Throughout the day attendees will be able to watch panel discussions featuring a range of music industry luminaries, touching on topics such as refining your image, making connections and industry allies, going viral online, creating music videos, recording technologies and generating income. The day will also include live performances from The Con & The Liar, Tia and Jack and Alex Crook. If you would like to break into the industry but don’t know how, head to the QMusic website to buy a ticket.
