World-renowned Russian dancers present Kostroma
The Russian National Dance company has enchanted audiences around the world, but this weekend it’s Brisbane’s turn to be dazzled by a one-off performance of Kostroma.
Brilliantly vivid costumes will be flying across a Queensland stage this weekend, as the world-renowned Russian National Dance company comes to The Arts Centre Gold Coast. The talented troupe has been touring around the country with its dance masterpiece Kostroma, which combines traditional Russian culture with daring dance techniques. A cast of 45 elite dancers will shimmy into 600 lavish costumes against a revolving backdrop of more than 15 stage sets, as the company opens its one-off performance at 2:30 pm this Sunday October 19.
The Russian dancers will take you on an exhilarating adventure traversing the continents, from the Arctic to the Steppes, and Caucasus to Siberia. Audiences in more than 25 countries have already been treated to performances of Kostroma, and this Sunday it’s Brisbane’s chance to catch the dance traditions of Russia. Purchase your ticket online.
