C Gallery made quite a name for itself as a boutique gallery that embraces all forms of contemporary art. The space favoures Australian artists across all fields, from painting to sculpture, ceramic, glass homewares and even jewellery. While the gallery opened on James Street in 2010, it will shortly be migrating away to the cavernous stores that make up the stylish district of Emporium. The new premise will quite literally be even bigger and better than the original and will open its doors from January 25. This larger space will allow C Gallery to curate larger exhibitions and projects from the Australian art scene. It will be taking over the former space of boutique Camargue at Shop 1 of Emporium, providing enough space for the gallery to host even more public and private events in store.
