Boomerang Festival announces inaugural line-up

Set in beautiful Bundjalung land, Boomerang Festival is bringing a rousing collection of performers and speakers to Byron Bay.

Over the long weekend of October 4–6, Boomerang Festival’s list of seasoned musicians, performance artists and speakers will celebrate Australia’s rich indigenous culture. In a unique event, Boomerang Festival will host the talents of Gurrumul, Vika and Linda Bull, Archie Roach, Busby Marou, Casey Donovan, Ernie Dingo, Thelma Plum, The Medics, Dubmarine, George Negus and Melissa Lucashenko, among many other performers and inspirational people.

Showcasing indigenous culture, established and emerging artists, and positive ideas, the festival will present four stages, workshop spaces and traditional healing areas. During Boomerang Festival, the First Nations Film Festival will also feature panels and forums over the three days, with the aim of defining indigenous experience in contemporary Australia.
