Bombshells looks at the psyche of modern women

Gents everywhere, here is your chance to truly understand how a woman’s mind really ticks – what makes her cry, what makes her happy, and what fuels her deepest anxieties.

Canvassing a spectrum of contemporary issues, Bombshells is a multifaceted play by Queensland Theatre Company that looks at the impact of different life experiences upon women.

Told through the eyes of six complex characters, all played by actress Christen O’Leary, the emotionally complex and often cheeky play delves into the psyche of the modern woman.

During the play you’ll meet an exhausted housewife, a divorcee, a bride to be grappling with anxiety, a Glee Club wannabe, a sexagenarian and a cabaret performer preparing to perform for the last time – all of whom are treading on the fine line between sanity and completely falling apart.

Drawing upon her singing, dancing and acting skills, Christen brings each of the spirited characters to life in a play that promises plenty of laughs and witty insights.

Catch Bombshells from March 17 to April 21 at QPAC.
