Beach House, Brisbane

Beach House performs mesmerising tunes at The Tivoli

Despite having four albums to its name, purveyor of dreamy indie-pop tunes Beach House has managed to fly under the radar of many Australian music fans.

Whether you have loved the band from its first album, or you are a new fan wanting to experience the meditative music of Beach House as its floats by, you can see the duo perform at The Tivoli on Friday January 11.

Formed in 2004, Beach House is the stage name of singer and organist Victoria Legrand and guitarist Alex Scally. Together the pair creates tunes filled with light, simple sounds and alluring vocals that send the listener into a peaceful hypnotic reverie.

Beach House will play a sideshow after appearing at The Falls Festival Music & Art Festival over the New Year. The band’s Australian visit will feature songs from its recently released fourth album, Bloom, which attempts to transcend banality to dissect the honesty of existence.
