Soak up free live tunes with the American Music Club
The Cascade Court of QPAC will become everyman’s dance floor, when the space transforms with free live music throughout September. Keep your toes tapping post show and dance well into the night with the sounds of jazz, swing, blues, R&B and musical theatre.
Part of the Brisbane Festival line-up, American Music Club will see post-show partiers and passersby bop and sway along to a series of diverse American music genres when it kicks off next Monday September 15 and runs each night until Saturday September 27. American Music Club will feature entire sets dedicated to jazz and musicals, as well as assorted pairings of jazz and swing, Latin and big bands, and blues and soul.
The after-show destination will fill with merrymaking from 8:30 pm each evening, with bands taking to the stage from 9:00 pm. Late-night revellers can practise their salsa and merengue hip swivels, tap their feet to some intense jazz or warm their vocal chords singing along to favourite musical theatre soundtracks.
