Another residential addition to the cultural precinct and its increasingly growing surrounding suburbs, Opera on Cordelia will comprise a 16-storey apartment tower, with ground-floor retail and office spaces. Offering 182 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, this mixed-use project is the first Brisbane development for Melbourne-based development Abcor Property Trust, and has been designed by McVeigh.

The outdoor rooftop terrace space will transition seamlessly with internal common spaces, the split-level communal terrace featuring a pool, two barbecue decks, seating benches and outdoor terraces. Set at 47–49 Cordelia Street, Opera on Cordelia will also feature a cross-block link access through the site, providing access for pedestrians and cyclists to Manning Street via the main entry on Cordelia Street. A five-metre-wide pathway will see garden beds, green walls, feature lighting and seating nooks frame the laneway, which will also be activated by artwork and commercial activity, creating a distinct identity for the development.
