The words ‘ancient’ and ‘future’ aren’t often paired together, but somehow meld perfectly to describe the works of Brooklyn-based ceramic artist Romy Northover.

Under the name No., Romy Northover creates stunning ceramic homewares and accessories with traditional techniques. Using a combination of Western and Eastern philosophies, Romy draws on techniques such as European hand building, and Japanese styles rokuro, kinuneri, kintsugi and tebineri. Whilst creating, she allows for her intuition to take over and let’s her senses explore the material.

The No. collection features a range of ceramic homewares, including hand-painted mugs, cups, bowls and planters. Romy also creates bangles, cuffs and necklaces as part of her unique accesories collection, Momotombo. You can find a special piece to call your own through Australian stockists Otis & Otto, Kinobi and Mr Kitly.
