Whether you’re the stallholder looking to de-clutter or the bargain hunter in search of secondhand gems, the nation-wide Garage Sale Trail event will save your treasures from ending up in landfill. On Saturday October 26, streets around Australia will be lined with secondhand goods, ready to be placed in a new home.
The Garage Sale Trail offers neighbours a chance to engage with their local communities, op-shoppers the chance to fossick and hoarders the chance to offload their goods – with profits kept for themselves or given to their charities of choice. Using the event’s website, sellers can register their garage sale and shoppers can create a treasure trail – a function that allows users to save the sales they want to visit and print out a map to take on their way. You can also access trails using your mobile on the day.
