The Weekend Series: five non-music-related activities to upgrade your Splendour in the Grass experience

Yeah yeah, we know you’re all about the music. But hear us out. The fine folks at Splendour in the Grass have been perfecting their extra-curricular offerings each year, adding an impressive compilation of escapes for when you need a break from your intensely ‘festive’ mates or the beats of the Tipi Forest. Whether you want to get crafty, hang out with Dr Karl, have a good belly laugh, smash some organic doughnuts or flee the festival altogether, we’ve got you covered. more

GOMA heats up with its scorching homegrown Winter Up Late program

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (we hope it’s cosy down there), you’re probably aware that GOMA has been overtaken by a number of absolutely jaw-dropping exhibitions and installations. As well as the dual efforts of national treasures Margaret Olley and Ben Quilty adorning the gallery walls at the moment, the building’s façade is permanently bathed in the evening light of James Turrell’s epic Night Life installation.
